Care at home services are used as to provide adequate medical treatment and care to elder adults at their homes by professionally qualified health workers such as nurses, caregivers and physical therapists. Care givers can also be social workers. Home care is being divided into two further categories such as formal and informal home care services. Informal Home care UK services are being operated by the elder’s family members self while the formal home care services are being conducted by professional health care providers who are being hired by elder person. These formal health care providers regularly or weekly organize various checkups for elder person and they work as a team. In their team there will be only nurses, caregivers and a medical specialist.

Formal and Informal care givers are different from one another in some aspect like there will be a voluntary aspect in informal care and most often will be provided by family members, neighbors, friends etc. Such care can in the care receiver’s Home only as caregiver will live into the elder’s home and care will be provided 24 hour. Although Informal care can also be provided to elder’s outside there home as suppose when care receiver continue to live independently and informal carer is visiting elder regularly and he is helping elder to complete his daily tasks like bathing, dressing and cooking. Informal care will not receive payment from you and that is why most informal carers are supposed to work in any employment either full time or part time. Informal care in short is supposed to have a mixture of practical support and social interaction.
